Each oil company has its own sources, which may or may not be in different parts of the world.
That doesn’t mean one is "better" than the other though.
One load may last longer than another because your driving isn’t constant.
Only if you were to drive the same car for say half a year on one brand exclusively and then half a year on another brand exclusively would you have some indication of different performance figures between them.
But it could still be caused by changes in your engine or differences in driving patterns.
What is a fact is that non-branded fuels often have more contaminants like water in them that can affect performance negatively (and increase engine wear as well, increasing maintenance cost for the vehicle).
Different refineries in different locations, and each refinery has slightly different qualities of fuel be it LPG, petrol or diesel (there is a level they must reach for safety and environmental sake, but some, well, they are just more consistent at maintaining the quality and level).
I don’t buy LPG as my car is petrol and for my car, I find Shell better than BP fuel so guessing they get their petrol from different refineries to each other.
